| Air Quality Technical Leader |
| Location: South East England | Salary:£56k and above |
Overview:
Provision of air
quality technical services within a leading global
multi-disciplinary consultancy.
Responsibilities:
To take
responsibility for air quality sub-team
management, business development, project and
programme management, staff development and
technical leadership for the air quality business
for our Client in their Brighton office.
Principal Accountabilities:
-
Report to Brighton Energy Environment team manager
who reports to Sub-divisional Manager. -
Develop air quality assessment skills within the
existing team. - Develop and implement Air
Quality Sub-Team Business Plan.
The
position will involve development and management
of, for example: - Air quality impact
assessments for large range of different sectors
including industrial, buildings and transportation
projects; - Air quality monitoring
programmes (both passive and continuous); -
Odour assessment; - Pollution Prevention and
Control (PPC) permit applications and support; - Specialist services for energy clients (e.g.
emissions modelling, CO2 assessment and carbon
footprinting); - Project management; -
Proposal preparation; - Sub-team management
and staff development; - There will be an
on-going requirement to be involved with and
liaise with other TMU environment teams to
co-ordinate all air quality inputs across a full
portfolio of environmental projects.
Requirements:
- Extensive relevant
postgraduate experience, including in the air
quality field, in environmental consultancy, and
in team leadership
Desired academic,
professional qualifications and experience: - Chartered Engineer / Environmentalist -
UK and international experience.
Essential competencies/skills: Technical
Leadership; High standards of written and
oral communication and IT skills; Demonstrable experience in undertaking and
managing wide range of air quality related
projects; Programme Management; Strong
project management skills;
